What's on in Cornwall this October half-term?

If you're looking forward to a week away with the family this October half-term, you'll be stuck for choice for days out.

Here are just a few of the fantastic activities taking place around Cornwall this October half-term, whether you're 8 or 80.

Halloween at Eden

This giant greenhouse, nestled on the site of a former mining quarry, attracts thousands of visitors every year. They come to see exotic plants, out-of-this-world environment, and rainforest biome.

But this Halloween brings a whole new level of entertainment, alongside the usual attractions.

In 2018, you can expect to see new creatures roaming around the biomes - rumour has it they have scales, breathe fire and swing their long pointed tails as they walk.... You'll also have the opportunity to make your own magical animal feed potion in the medieval marketplace.

Monkey Sanctuary

This little haven near Looe is home to almost 40 monkeys, each with their own unique personality and story of survival. Meet Capuchin monkeys, Marmosets and other cheeky monkeys in this interactive and stimulating setting.

There is also a wild play area for your little monkeys to explore, where they can climb, slide, run and build.

Lanhydrock House & Gardens, near Bodmin

If the 900 acre estate, with its winding trails, manicured gardens and historic structures, isn't enough to keep you and your little ones entertained, there's also a huge Victorian country house to explore at Lanhydrock.

Go below stairs and see how the servants used to live and work; take a peek inside the elegant and spacious rooms where the family used to entertain, relax, work and play; and walk the pretty woodland trails in the grounds.

Milkyway Adventure Park, Bude

Enrol at the school for witches and wizards at the Milkyway Adventure Park this Halloween. There are loads of fun activities for little ones to enjoy, as well as the ever popular rides, indoor soft play, toddler town and fantasy farm.

Make your own wand, mix potions, write spells and ride broomsticks as part of the Halloween event, from Saturday 20th until Sunday 28th October 2018.

Beneath our Feet, Carnglaze Caverns

This former slate mine is just down the road from us here at Badgers' Sett. It's a stunning setting at any time of year, with its winding paths, high ceilings and mystical underground lake.

But at Halloween it transforms into an atmospheric stage as a local arts company performs Beneath our Feet, telling the story of the underground through music and dance.
