Fal River Festival 2019 - May 24th to 2nd June

This fantastic ten day event taking place at various locations along the Fal River, offers something for everyone, from music and drama to gig racing, films aired on a floating open air cinema, plus pop up restaurants, bars and Jazz on the Quay !

A fleet of brightly coloured boats will set the scene at the 2019 grand opening by sailing en mass into Falmouth Harbour in the early evening on 24th May, an amazing sight to see !

Lots of fun to be had by all ages and a great place to meet up, relax and chill out with friends and family, thoroughly recommended for inclusion into your list of things to do whilst on holiday in Cornwall !






Open Studios Cornwall 2019 - 25th May to 2nd June

Stroll along the 'O' trail through the length and breadth of Cornwall, between 25th May and 2nd June, taking the opportunity to chat to participating artists and get to view or purchase some of their work.   

Enjoy exploring some of the more remote and peaceful parts of this lovely county as you set out to view work produced by potters, painters, sculptors, textiles, botanical drawings to name but a few !  A total of 291 artists will be participating in this venture, which has now been running for 15 years.

Often based in quirky buildings, full of character, the doors of shepherd's huts, converted cow sheds, chapels and medieval houses will be opened to the public by participating artists.

The Royal Cornwall Show 2019 - 6th June to 8th June

A genuine agricultural show, not to be missed !  This three day spectacular highlights the best that Cornwall has to offer, from tractors to fashion, horticulture to show jumping and rare breeds to the craft tent!


The  renowned flower tent is a sight to behold, showing off prizewinning floral displays from local individuals, groups and nurseries.

Arrive early and take some time to stroll through marquees where cute baby farm animals are located - the kids will adore seeing horses, goats, rare breed pigs, fluffy ducklings, feeding lambs, stroke rabbits and guinea pigs, amongst many others. 

Everyone will enjoy this fun packed event, with so much to see and do a day is simply not enough though and you will be sure to book a return ticket for another Year !

Mevagissey Feast Week - 23rd to 29th June

A fun filled week in Mevagissey where the local community gets fully involved whilst providing a huge Cornish welcome to the many visitors flocking to this pretty harbour side town to take part in what is thought to be Cornwall's longest surviving festival.  

There is live music, bands, choirs, exhibitions, flora dances and of course, a huge variety of delicious local food to suit all tastes, is available, with fresh fish being at the top of the menu and served in abundance!

The kids will enjoy getting involved in specially laid on competitions including crabbing around the harbour and pavement art, whilst everyone will enjoy watching the boat races, colourful carnival and the huge firework display taking place in the outer harbour which heralds the end of this amazing seven day celebration.

Plan your visit to the Mevagissey Feast Week



Eden - Dick V Dom, 25th May to 1st June

A visit to the Eden Project come rain or shine, is simply not to be missed at any time of the Year! 

However, an extra special treat is in store for all the family over the coming May half term week in the guise of the Dick V Dom show !

This 45 minute live spectacular sees the  audience being split into two halves and set against each other, having previously gained points for their teams by completing challenges and activities located throughout the Eden Project.

Dick & Dom rock up at 3 o'clock, creating good old general nonsense and chaos, egging the audience on as they score more sneaky points for their teams by joining in hilarious singing and shared games !

A fantastic day out for the whole family, there is something here for both little people and the oldies to join in and enjoy !  You also get the chance to explore the Eden Project, what's not to like ?
