Things to Do

Badgers Sett is in a central location within easy reach of both the A38 and A30 trunk roads making it a good base to explore the many attractions of Cornwall. Both the north and south coasts are only a short drive away.

The Local Area

Our holiday cottages are situated in the tiny hamlet of Draynes near St Neot in the stunning River Fowey valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor just north of Liskeard, surrounded by farmland and accessed by winding country lanes. This area offers some of the most attractive scenery in Cornwall and has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are also within the International Dark Sky Landscape and can offer astronomers a great location to see the night sky.

The villages of St Neot (1.5 miles), St Cleer (2 miles) and Dobwalls(2.5 miles) offer pubs and small village shops with a farm shop. The London Inn in St Neot, the Crows Nest Inn in Darite and The Plough in Duloe all offer a good range of pub food.

The town of Liskeard is only 10 minutes away by car offering a wider range of shops, Morrisons and Aldi supermarkets, main-line railway station and other amenities. Bodmin is just 10 miles away and also offers a range of larger supermarkets and facilities.

Sterts Theatre and Arts Centre, 'the theatre on Bodmin Moor', offering everything from the Bodmin Moor Poetry Festival to Shakespeare is close by. There is so much to see and do during your stay at Badgers Sett. To find out more, follow the links opposite.
